A Lenten Prayer for the Cursillo Community of Detroit
Heavenly Father,
As we enter this sacred season of Lent, we pause in gratitude for the gift of our Cursillo community here in Detroit. Thank You for the men and women who have said “yes” to You, who continue to walk the path of discipleship with courage, humility, and joy.
Lord Jesus, You walked the road to Calvary with love and surrender. In this holy season, help us to walk with You more intentionally, in prayer that deepens, in sacrifice that purifies, and in charity that overflows.
Thank You for every Ultreya, every holy hour, every quiet act of service, every unseen sacrifice offered for the sake of Your Kingdom. Thank You for the friendships rooted in You, for the encouragement we give one another, and for the fire of the Holy Spirit that continues to renew our movement.
Holy Spirit strengthen our fourth day. Make us bold witnesses in our homes, parishes, workplaces, and communities. Let our lives preach Christ without compromise and love without condition.
May this Lent not simply be something we observe, but a season that transforms us, that strips away what is not of You and draws us closer to Your Sacred Heart.
Bless the Cursillo community of Detroit. Deepen our unity. Renew our zeal. And may everything we do echo our call:
De Colores and Ultreya!
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
